Threats to safeguarding these nuclear materials include preventing the unintentional or accidental use of nuclear weapons. We also need to be aware of intentional use from terrorist acquisition or crisis escalation resulting in nuclear use with nations we are at odds with.
The nuclear weapons security sector is in need of an influx of new ideas, new perspectives, and inventive thinkers to solve a problem that is too often ignored.
